Hands on Session on First Aid & CPR
HANDS ON SESSION ON FIRST AID & CPR WAS ORGANISED BY DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOTHERAPY, FAS ON 15 MARCH 2019 at ‘B- Block’ MRIIRS
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a combination of techniques, including chest compressions, designed to pump the heart to get blood circulating and deliver oxygen to the brain until definitive treatment can stimulate the heart to start working again. Knowing what to do during an emergency can be the difference between life and death. CPR is critical in handling medical emergency and it is necessary for a medical professional to be well equipped to handle such situations.
In order to prepare our students to manage medical emergencies whether in hospital or on sports field hands on session was organized by Department of Physiotherapy on “FIRST AID & CPR” for final year students of BPT on 15 March at ‘B’block, MRIIRS Campus. The session was delivered by Dr Jatin Maheshwari , certified CPR instructor, as part of team YUVA’s initiative “Yuva’s Life Saving Campaign”. The moto of the campaign is to educate the physiotherapy fraternity about basic life support and
first aid.
The students participated in the session very enthusiastically and found it enriching.
