Students’ mind blowing projects draw great admiration from Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal Khattar on the inaugural day of IITF 2016
Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) has always provided a wealth of opportunities and experiences to its students to nurture their spirit of innovation. Nowhere was this better exemplified than at the India International Trade Fair 2016, Haryana Pavilion, where Hon’ble Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister, Haryana, came visiting on the inaugural day. He was mesmerized by the sheer ingenuity of the creations and their applications to bring about societal change. MREI has been a regular partner of Government of Haryana at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi every year. Students and Faculty of Manav Rachna have been displaying best practices in education along with several award winning innovative projects at the Haryana Pavilion of IITF.
In keeping with this tradition, several pathbreaking projects developed by MREI students in various domains are being showcased at the IITF 2016 Fair. The projects are being displayed thematically, in that the initial two days would be devoted towards automation projects, yet another couple of days would go towards robotics. The projects cover domains such as Internet of Things (IOT), automation, wearable technologies and the like. With products like Medicine Reminder Wrist Band, Quadcopter, Belt for Posture Correction, Smart Toothbrush which when connected to the smartphone gives feedback about the brushing pattern, Smart Dental Retainer which keeps the doctor updated about the patient’s oral health, there is no end to the uniqueness of these creations. That apart, consumer-driven products like Extension Boards, Biometric Machine for secured access figure prominently at IITF. Yesteryear projects like Smart Bin, Pick ‘n’ Place Robot, Tractorobot also occupy pride of place at the Pavilion. Additionally, startup initiatives like Hyfn Games, Techno Planet Labs and Bookshala have also shot into prominence at the Fair.
Deeply appreciative of the projects, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Manoharlal Khattar said, “Manav Rachna’s students have always shown what it means to create projects that are as innovative as they are useful. Hence, we hope these projects would go beyond the Labs where they have been incubated and make a big difference to people’s lives.”
While acknowledging the ceaseless drive of MREI’s students, Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President-MREI said: “We have always endeavoured to encourage our students towards multi-disciplinary research and development and have inculcated in them the desire to create products that would impact the world at large. With Manav Rachna providing state-of-the-art facilities and adequate mentoring support, our students have undoubtedly come up with innovations that are the cynosure all eyes!”
