Manav Rachna Educational Institutions signs MoU With Kuas, Taiwan For Collaborative Exchange Program
Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) have had preliminary discussions with a view to engaging in cooperative programs of education and to promote exchange among their students, mainly for enabling participation of Indian students in Engineering and Technical programs at KUAS, Taiwan, as well as practical training to enhance their learning experience and suitability to understand Taiwanese industrial work culture and working systems. The signing ceremony took place at Hotel Vivanta by Taj, Sujan Singh Marg, New Delhi. Dr Sanjay Srivastava, Managing Directior – MREI and Dr (Ms) Rose Chang, Vice Dean – International Affairs signed the document from the respective sides. The Taiwanese delegation included His Excellency Mr. Chung-Kwang Tien, Ambassador of Taiwan to India and Mr. Yi-Chao Meng, Secretary General, World Taiwanese Chambers Union, among others, and the MREI delegation from the two universities and also half a dozen students representative were among the strong contingent from MREI. Mr Rajoo Goel, Secretary General –Electronic Industry Association of India (ELCINA) and Mr Stanley Wang, Deputy Director General, Institute of Information Industries, Taiwan jointly co-hosted the ceremony.
The signing ceremony was followed by a Taiwanese Symphony played by SHOCK concert band bringing to life the cultural flavour of the country.
MREI was chosen as the preferred partner from amongst the leading universities in the NCR. The partnership envisages a student exchange program where-in the students would be provided all expenses paid two years academic and industrial experience to build skilled manpower to cater to the needs of the electronics and communication industry.
Speaking on the MoU, Dr Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI said, “The collaborative exchange program with KUAS, Taiwan would enable our students to gain adequate industrial exposure and imbibe knowledge about Taiwanese work culture and their operating systems, contributing in essence towards the creation of skilled manpower and nation building in keeping with our Honourable Prime Minister’s ‘Skill India’ initiatives. Our students would no doubt gain immeasurably from such an international orientation and be more flexible to the changing dynamics of the industrial sector.”
