Four Health Projects organized by Innerwheel Club of Faridabad Central held at MRIU to focus on Women’s Health and Nutrition

Women’s Health and Nutrition became the focus of an initiative undertaken by Innerwheel Club of Faridabad Central which organised 4 health projects under the guidance of Mrs. Anita Thakkar, Chairperson, Healthcare Committee; Distt 301 and Club President Mrs. Renu Thakkar .

The initiative was held at Manav Rachna International University campus, Surajkund, Faridabad. Smt Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, congratulated the club members, students and staff of Manav Rachna for celebrating National Nutrition Week and appreciated the efforts of Innerwheel Club of Faridabad Central. District chairman Mrs Renu Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that Innerwheel Club Faridabad Central (IWC) donated 15 dentures to 15 senior citizens. That besides, a cheque of Rs 2 lacs was given to Thalassemic India, New Delhi, for the bone marrow transplant of a 4 year old thalassemic child. It was on the same occasion, Dr Gurdeep Kaur , Dietician , AIIMS, gave a talk on Women’s Health and Nutrition. Health Sub committee Chairperson Dr. Vinita Chopra highlighted the importance of cornea donation. The dignitaries sensitized the audience on health and nutrition related issues especially in the light of the ongoing National Nutrition week celebrations.

An audience of around 400 people was present during the programme. Guests from district and other clubs also graced the event in large numbers.
