Dr Prashant Bhalla felicitated with the 5th Bharatiya Manav Adhikar Samman – 2015
On International Human Rights Day which is observed the world over on December 10, another milestone was made! Dr Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) was conferred with the 5th Bharatiya Manav Adhikar Samman– 2015 as ‘India’s most eminent visionary mentor’– (Influential Leadership in education) by the All India Council Of Human Rights, Liberties And Social Justice at the India Islamic Centre, New Delhi. The Award was a tribute to Bharat Ratna and People’s President, Shri A.P.J Kalam and was meant for Peace, Harmony, Protection and Promotion of Human Rights. The Award was given to individuals/ world peace leaders / business leaders / institutions / organizations /corporates who have shown exceptional leadership in the fight to protect and promote human rights and service to humanity.
On receiving the Award, Dr Prashant Bhalla said, “I thank All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties & Social Justice for conferring this honour upon me and feel greatly humbled by the experience. This award is recognition of the collective efforts of all members of the Manav Rachna family united under the common mission of doing good to society by way of education and philanthropic initiatives. This was the legacy of our Founder Father Dr O.P. Bhalla — a legacy that we are all committed to carrying forward with the utmost passion and dedication. My father’s vision lives on through us, in words, deeds and actions. I see myself as a torchbearer of that tradition.”
The Award ceremony was graced by a galaxy of dignitaries including educationists, social reformers, thinkers, writers and poets, among others.
