Workshop on “VERILOG for Digital System Design -II”
The Department of ECE successfully completed a workshop on “Verilog for Digital System Design” under the Faculty Development Program. The two days workshop was organized with the idea of exposing the faculty to the industrial application aspects of Digital System Design.
The facilitator of the workshop was Design Engineer Mr. Prateek Sikka. He did MTech from IIT Delhi and is an experienced engineer. He has worked with many reputed core electronics companies like Mentor Graphics, ST Microelectronics, Mathworks etc. and has filed five US patents. The participants along with the Faculty members from both the universities MRIU and MRU participated with enthusiasm.
This session focused on XILINX VIVADO DESIGN TOOL. This workshop as a whole focused to learn the design concepts used in real life applications. The workshop also threw light on the troubles encountered when the theoretical concepts are used in real life. The troubleshooting techniques and alternate solutions were also discussed. Each module had a small quiz session and the participants were motivated by small prizes for every question.
The participants kept the atmosphere very lively through their active participation. All the participants gave a good feedback and showed their enthusiasm by expressing interest to gain knowledge through more such workshops.
