Workshop on Women Menstrual Hygiene drive in Mohna Village
Air Falcon Clan took initiative to support O.P. Bhalla Foundation’s Institution Social Responsibility (ISR) activities. On October 5, 2018, 30 students (from various faculties like, FET, FCBS, FCA, FAS and B.Ed.) along with four faculty members (Dr. Sonia Duggal, Dr. Kalpna Varshney, Ms. Madhumita, and Ms. Neha Wadhawan) went to Mohna Village (one of the adopted village under ISR by MREI).
Air Falcon Clan recognizes that menstrual hygiene is fundamental to the dignity and well-being of women and girls and an important part of the basic hygiene, sanitation and reproductive health services to which every woman and girl has a right.
The girls were divided into two groups for the better knowledge dissemination. Two of Students volunteer from Air Falcon Clan addressed the girls of the school in detail and shown them video clippings which was very enlightening for the audience.
Afterwards the girls participated in a survey, designed by FAS department in which many informative questions were designed to enhance their knowledge related to personal hygiene. After completion of this session girls were distributed the sanitary napkins. Around 100 sanitary napkins were also given to principal so that these can be given in emergency to the students.
The group returned back with many takeaways, like contentment in hearts, team building, leadership, compassion and sensitiveness.
