Workshop on “Setting up an Enterprise” at Manav Rachna University.
Mr. R K Chandra, Sr. Advisor, National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Noida conducted a workshop on “Setting up an Enterprise” for BBA students of Department of Management and Commerce, Faculty of Management and Humanities, Manav Rachna University.
NIESBUD is a premier organization of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, engaged in training, consultancy and research to promote entrepreneurship. Mr. Chandra informed about the roles that NIESBUD plays in the identification of potential opportunities and the role it plays in support of SMEs. He also explained the importance of skill development and various schemes of the Government in order to encourage students to become entrepreneurs.
He elaborated on the challenges ahead in terms of availability of jobs, and the Government’s intent to develop the skills of people so that they are self-employed. He also explained about the Government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojna where assistance is provided to entrepreneurs to set up shop and take forward the ‘Make In India’ and ‘Stand Up India’ plans.
The entrepreneurs of Manav Rachna including Mr. Gaurav Kalra, a student of BBA was also present during the workshop. His venture- KrazyKart has recently received the finance of Rs 2.5 Lakhs at MRIIRS NewGen IEDC.
