Workshop on Introduction to Python Programming
The Ph.D. office in association with the Department of Computer Science and Technology organized a workshop on Introduction to Python Programming for Ph.D. scholars of MRU and Faculty members. The session was led by Ms. Mamta Arora, who is working as Assistant Professor, CST department and has more than 10 years of experience including academics & research. She has expertise in the area of Python for Data Science Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms using Python and Machine Learning.
Ms. Mamta explained thoroughly the need of Python Programming, python programming IDE: Anaconda, Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, Structure of Python Programming, Python collection (strings, lists, dictionaries), Control Flow (if-then statements, looping), files handling in Python and Case Study of Machine Learning: Logistics Regression. The scholars appreciated the session immensely and also cleared their doubts regarding programming. It was a worthy session for all and at the end, scholars requested a follow-up session on Machine Learning using Python, Image processing using python, and Data analytics using python.
