The Department of Computer Science & Technology, Manav Rachna University (MRU) organized a technical workshop on “Internet of things” under IEEE student branch for the students of all departments, recently. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Siddhant Aggarwal, an Intel Software Innovator.

He discussed about the fundamentals of IoT domain and Intel’s offerings on the IoT stack. He introduced the students to INTEL Nervana Student Academy for the current tools, frameworks, training and resources in Artificial Intelligence. The students were encouraged to discuss innovative project ideas in groups which they further presented in front of all the attendees. At the end of the workshop, a demo of the basic algorithms that are used for text analysis, speech to text conversion and computer vision was also presented to the students. The session was indeed very informative as it enlightened the students about the career opportunities in IoT in future.
