Women in the Indian Entrepreneurship Scenario
MRU as an academic partner with AIC –BIMTECH participated in the Saturday Round Table discussion on ‘Women in the Indian Entrepreneurship Scenario’.The event was organized in association with Chevening Alumni India.
The eminent panel speakers who participated in the discussion included Dr. Divya Rajput, India Lead at Texas Global at the University of Texas, Austin; Dr. Saundarya Rajesh Founder – Director at Avtar The Power of Diversity; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝗹 Director at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗸 Managing Director at Open Space Consulting and Ms. Sanghamitra Biswas Jayant Corporate Strategic Management at BHEL was the moderator of the session.
The speakers focused their discussion on current policies and programs like Startup India scheme, Udyam Sakhi by MSME, MUDRA Yojna (SIDBI), SPURTHI which are cluster development programs offered by the Govt. of India to support women entrepreneurs. They emphasized the fact that economically empowered women entrepreneurs are an important catalyst for change and are contributing substantially towards employment generation and to the GDP of a country.
The session was very informative for the students and faculty who gained valuable learnings from listening to successful women entrepreneurs in their respective fields.
We are also thankful to Dr. Abha Rishi, CEO AIC- BIMTECH for giving our students and faculty the opportunity to interact with the eminent speakers.
The event was coordinated by the entire MRU E cell team for ensuring active participation of our students in the event.
