Faculty of Education and Humanities recently organized an expert lecture on the theme of ‘WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH EDUCATION: UNDERSTANDING EMERGING TRENDS’.

The session was conducted by Dr. Harpreet Kaur Jass who is associated with the Department of Educational Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia as Assistant Professor and is actively working in the area of ethnographic research pertaining to child development and women studies.

The session covered varied dimensions of women empowerment and the role of education as a catalyst force therein. In the concluding question and answer round, students discussed many of their questions before the expert and the further discussion helped them gained an insightful perspective to the idea of women empowerment which holds special relevance for them as a trainee teachers.
