Tobacco cessation Center a unit of Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Manav Rachna Dental College organized a webinar to commemorate this day. The organizing team comprised of Dr. Arundeep Singh, Principal, MRDC; Dr. Sumit Bhateja, HoD, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology; Dr. Neha Aggarwal & Dr. Tamanna Soni, Senior Lecturer’s, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology.

Dr. Sumedha Kushaha who is an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Public Health Dentistry at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur was the speaker for the day. She is the Founder & General Secretary of ATTAC- Aim to terminate Tobacco & cancer society, an NGO dedicated to the well-being of the masses. She has worked extensively for tobacco and cancer control in the country.  She is also a receiver of women achiever award in the field of social science in the year 2019.

Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha spoke on the topic of “Relevance & Practice of Tobacco cessation during COVID-19 pandemic”.  It was a very informative & enlightening session and more than 250 participants attended the session.
