During the session, Dr. Goel and Mr. Khetan spoke on various dimensions like eligibility criteria, the admission process and the employment opportunities of a Company Secretaryship Course. Mr. Kanishk discussed the challenges faced by students pursuing CS along with their graduation and guided on how to overcome them.
Dr. Monika shared her own experience while she was pursuing Company Secretary and assured students that if a student’s graduation exam clashes with that of his/her CS exam, Manav Rachna provides support in the best possible manner it can.
Mr. Khetan deep dived into the two broad facets of employment opportunities available to a CS, one being in a corporate concern and the other being into self-practice, the difference being to be able to serve one client and serving for more than one client, respectively.
He enlightened the students about a new field of a career in commerce education, which is insolvency law, and shared about his role as a CS in his present employment. He also inspired the students to pursue any professional course along with an academic course with full zeal and courage, by suggesting them to moderate the 24 hours available in a day, accordingly.
Both the speakers shared the feeling of self-accomplishment and enrichment after qualifying for this course and getting CS as a salutation prefixed with their names. Dr. Goel made the audience aware of the support duly extended by the Faridabad Chapter of the Institute in terms of guiding the guidance seekers and getting them prepared for their examinations and the assistance provided by the Institute in training and placement.
CS Simran Khattar, an alumnus of Department of Commerce, FCBS, MRIIRS itself, was invited to share her journey of pursuing CS along with B.Com.(H.) and her experience of being a CS.
