Webinar on “New World of Radio”
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, FMeH, organized a webinar on “New World of Radio” which was conducted by Mr. Mohan Lal Sharma, a veteran Broadcaster, who is presently associated with BBC Hindi.
Mr. Sharma began his broadcast career, soon after his graduation from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. He became associated with All India Radio as an announcer in its External Services Division. At age 22, he commentated for momentous events like the Republic Day, Independence Day and others. He has played several important roles at AIR, anchoring live programmes “Aaj Subah”. He has also lent his voice to many programmes on Discovery, National Geographic. At present, he is working with BBC Hindi in Delhi.
In his lecture, Mr. Sharma spoke of how the radio has played an important role in reaching out to the people in every nook and corner of the country.
Prof. (Dr) Maithili Ganjoo, Dean, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities (FMeH) delivered the welcome address. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Aman Vats, head of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Over 100 Students of BAJMC and MAJMC along with faculty members of other Universities and departments attended the webinar.
