Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) organized a webinar on “Create Your Own Success Story – Be an Entrepreneur” recently. Prof. (Dr.) Monika Goel, Chief Coordinator NewGen IEDC, Director FCBS, MRIIRS; Dr. Amit Seth, Director Admissions and Professor – Strategy and Entrepreneurship, FMS; Dr. Meghna Chhabra, Associate Professor – Entrepreneurship and Finance, Area Chair – Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, FMS; Mr. Saurabh Dhall, Alumni, FMS (Batch: 2009-11), Director, Pracharnama Media Ltd., Faridabad; and Mr. Kartik Rampal, Director- Tackyon Motor Sports Pvt. Ltd (a start-up incubated at Manav Rachna), Alumni, B.Tech Mechanical, (Batch: 2012-16), MRIIRS were the distinguished speakers.

The webinar also marked the induction to the newly introduced AICTE Approved Academic Program ‘MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (IEV)’ which will be offered under the flagship of FMS from Session 2020-21. This two-year PG program (MBA) is an action-oriented and outcome-based program that will admit students with Innovative ideas and problem-solving mindset giving them access to pre-incubation and incubation support to convert ideas to business model and traverse a path of entrepreneurship and practice venture as a part of academic curriculum to obtain a master degree. This is a reformative step to make Indian higher education system to produce New Generation Entrepreneurs Capable of building innovative ventures and simultaneously earning master degrees. The esteemed faculty panelists talked about the rising significance of entrepreneurship education and how Manav Rachna hosts a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem which completely complements the execution of such a progressive program.

The two alumni panelists Kartik and Saurabh shared their overwhelmingly inspiring entrepreneurial journey and the inspirations and support they received from their faculty mentors and incubation center at Manav Rachna. This webinar was crafted to tingle the entrepreneurial instincts of its takers and reinforce the rising popularity of entrepreneurship as a career choice in the current and changing market scenarios.
