Visit to World Book Fair
To the context that books are human’s best friends, Department of Students Welfare organized a visit to the World Book Fair, Pragati Maidaan, Delhi on January 14, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to let students explore the world of books and know about the latest publishing. As many as 25 odd students from various departments of Manav Rachna joined the trip with Mr. Ravneet Singh, Coordinator Alumni Relations – MREI and team members from DSW.
Students showed their interest in books based on fiction and literature. The section that displayed the books on Meditation, Work and Life was full. It gave the message that even today apart from music and other fields of interest, students prefer having peace and discipline in their lives. Various authors who were present during the Fair interacted with the students and answered their questions.
Mr. Vipul Mudgal was present on the occasion and launched his new book ‘Claiming India from Below’. The major attractions in the Fair were the architectural piles– those were made of books and everyone took selfies around it. Students bought various books from the Fair and enjoyed this trip by requesting to have more of such trips to different places.
