A one day visit to Anganwadi Centres in Bhatola Village, Faridabad was organized on March 25, 2019. A group of 60 students of B.Sc & M.Sc, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, MRIIRS along with Dr. Priya Mishra and Ms. Divya Puri went for the visit.

Bhatola Village comprised of four Anganwadi centres, where the students had a great learning experience.  Students had a good interaction with Anganwadi workers and its beneficiaries.  The students fetched the information from the respective Anganwadi workers that included weekly food planner, growth charts, breast feeding, vaccination planner, study material and measuring equipments for height and weight.

The facilities provided in the above centres were:

• Mid-day meal, ration, education, regular check-up, immunization on regular basis.
• Education for children up-to 6 years of age.
• Food for pregnant and lactating women.
• Categorization of children according to the health indicators
