Virtual Lab Workshop
The university organized Virtual Lab Workshop on August 13, 2018 in association with IIT Delhi. Virtual labs are a venture of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, under its National Mission on Education through Information & Communication Technology (NMEICT).
The main purpose behind this project is to improve the standards of laboratory and practical training imparted to engineering students. The biggest advantage is that the students would be able to share expensive equipment and resources, which are otherwise available only to a few users due to time and geographical constraints.
The workshop was conducted in coordination with the Virtual Lab Nodal Coordinator, Dr. Mrinal Pandey, and a team of faculty members as well as student coordinators of various disciplines. The Team from IIT, Delhi conducted a Virtual Lab workshop in 9 sessions with hands on practices. The workshop was a great success in which 200 students of undergraduate and postgraduate level and 12 faculty members from various disciplines were trained.
