Video Showcase In POP Festival – Department of Social and Political Studies, MRIIRS
Adarsh Arjariya from BA Liberal Arts, Final Year Student, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences (FBSS), Department of Social and Political Studies, MRIIRS made the hip hop video in the vernacular language that highlighted the dire need to take environmental and climate action to protect the future generation from the perils of human-induced ecological, environmental disasters, air, water, and resource pollution and climate change. The video was showcased in the POP Festival which was a global event held during December 1 – 5, 2020 across 55 countries of the World from the continents Africa, Asia, Europe, South Asia, and regions like Latin America, Asia Oceania, the Asia Pacific with the eminent presence of global leaders, more than 16 Heads of States and different stakeholders from 63 countries and 60 partners. The festival facilitated youth-led climate action movements through world-wide participation of students via various forms of art medium. Department of Social and Political Studies, FBSS of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) was one of the key university partners of the festival.
