A first ever two days workshop on  “Magnification in Endodontics” by the Masters of Magnification was  conducted at Manav Rachna Dental College in association with Indian Endodontic Society,  IES. The workshop was attended by senior professors from all over India and Manav Rachna post graduate dental students along with the faculty members, Head of Departments and Interns.

On first day of the workshop, a lecture on ‘Need and Scope of Magnification’ was delivered by Dr. K.S. Banga, Professor and HOD, Government Dental College, Mumbai. Later in the day, a lecture was delivered on ‘How Magnification has changed life of MOM.’

On the second day of the workshop, Dr. Anuj Bhardwaj, Private practitioner from Indore delivered a lecture on ‘Magnification in Dentistry and selection of Loupes.’ Thereafter, a live Peri Radicular surgery was carried out by Dr. Shweta Rastogi under magnification (loupes) with detail on use of ultrasonics and apical sealing with MTA and Bone Graft.

In addition to this, a hands on course training was given on how to use the Microscope including various procedures like Dental operation microscope, Biomechanical preparations, Perforation repairs, Access Cavity preparation, Broken Instrument retrieval and composite restorations. The workshop was geared towards the holistic development of students and trainers to help them become successful medical professionals.
