Three MRU students undergoing Summer training at Shreya Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd
Three students of Manav Rachna University’s M.Sc. Chemistry, namely Shivangi Kataria, Barkha Kaushik and Saloni Goyal are undergoing summer training at Quality Control Division of Shreya Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Roorkee. They are being guided by Dr. Deepak Panwar, Senior Manager, Quality Control and Mr. Vinay Prakash Tripathi, Senior Officer, Quality Control.
Dr. Priti Gupta, Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry, MRU recently visited the organization and interacted with Mr. Vinay Tripathi. All of the Shreya Management, their immediate supervisors and fellow colleagues were impressed with the overall performance of our students. The concept level, theoretical knowledge, its application to production, as well as behaviour of our students was very well appreciated. DGM, Quality Control appreciated students for handing the commercial instruments, which also depicts the values that Manav Rachna has embedded in these students.
The students are working on some of the very complex and world-renowned principles of drug sampling and testing. These are IP (Indian Pharmacopoeia), BP(British Pharmacopoeia), USP (United State Pharmacopoeia) and includes extraction, titration, UV Spectrographs of samples to identify problems like composition, solubility, scalablity of flagship drugs like Digiplex-T, Isokoxi 800, Aspisol and Julax in addition to many other small scale drugs.
Dr. Priti Gupta also interacted with Mr. Dinesh Pal (General Manager, Shreya Life Sciences) and Mr. D.P. Singh (DGM, Quality Control) along with these students. Dr. D.P. Singh was extremely satisfied with the performance of our students whereas Mr. Dinesh Pal expressed the competitiveness that our students have brought in their internship selection given the level of expertise they have displayed so far. They also them to not to limit their knowledge but look out for application areas. They also suggested that students should reap maximum benefit from this training and start identifying area of interests for their long-term career growth.
Dr. Priti Gupta was also very satisfied with the infrastructure facilities, mentorship and experience that our students are getting. She also invited Mr. Dinesh Pal to visit Manav Rachna University in future which he has graciously accepted.
