Akshita Sachdeva
B.Tech (CSE), 2012-2016 Batch
I can reflect back on the day I entered Manav Rachna University with a dream to fit into the IT industry, but as I leave this campus, I own the vision to achieve much more in life. On this journey, I made true friends and worked in an innovation-friendly environment. I also enjoyed the unconditional support of my family and professors and learnt the skills so essential in the professional world. I never thought I would but I developed voice-controlled mobile phone app for the blind and visually impaired, won the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2015, represented India in the World Finals held at Seattle, got placed in TCS, Accenture, HP and IBM, won Cognitive Computing and Internet of Things Award at Accenture Innovation Jockeys 2015, published research papers on curbing Traffic Rule Violations using Cloud Computing, received Manav Rachna Outstanding Achiever Award, worked on Image-processing to screen Cervical Cancer, won Jury’s Choice Award at Accenture Innovation Jockeys 2016, became the UI/UX Champion at TechGig Geek Goddess 2017 and got cash prize of Rs. 50,000 /-.
Now finally landed up at Northeastern University for pursuing my Masters in Computer Science and for turning my vision of making Cervical Cancer Screening non-invasive, automated and easily accessible into reality.
Manav Rachna not only provides great opportunities for students in the corporate world but moreover nurtures them to become good human beings.
