IEEE Manav Rachna University Student Branch in association with Women in Engineering (WIE) organized a 3-day long Tech Fest called “TECH KRANTI” & ”WIE SYMPOSIUM” from October 26, 2021 to October 28,2021.

HoD CST Prof. Hanu Bhardwaj; Associate HoD Prof. Jyoti Pruthi & Branch Counsellor Prof. Manpreet Kaur, WIE Coordinator Prof. Gaganjot Kaur, Computer Society Coordinator Prof. Anupriya Sharma were present during the inauguration. Motivating speech was given by Dr Manpreet Kaur who motivated to do the best and recalled sticking on the values and mission of WIE & IEEE MRU, to promote girls & technology.

She-a-thon, SHE-A-CODE and DESIGNING UI events were held in hybrid mode. Agile workshop was conducted by Mr. Ajay Kabra, Senior Director Agile Transformation Xebia. He shared his insights on agile methodologies and how important they are. CYBER CHARCHA 2.0, BUG FIXING events were also conducted for students. The last event was VIDEO EDITING workshop where the experts walked the attendees through the basics of the software- ‘Adobe Premiere Pro’ and were given a hands-on learning experience for better understanding of the software. Day 3 began with great enthusiasm for HACKATHON followed by QUIZ CROSSWORD event.

The TechFest ended with a Panel Discussion on the topic “Global Landscape of Women In STEM” wherein Women innovators and leaders from different sectors and countries graced the occasion.

Students participated in all the events with great enthusiasm.
