Talk with Senior Advocate Vinay Bhasin at Faculty of Law, MRU
It was indeed an inspiring session that the law students had with Senior Advocate Vinay Bhasin, an esteemed member of the Advisory Board at Faculty of Law. He is designated Senior Advocate and is an authority in Administrative, Corporate, Service, Constitutional and Civil Law matters. Besides arbitration and appearances in the Judicial courts, Mr. Vinay Bhasin has also appeared before the tribunals and other quasi-judicial bodies. He has made India’s presence felt in International Arbitration arena and coming from this illustrious background, the talk ensued splendidly with a rapt audience lending their ear to soak in his words of wisdom.
He insisted on a dialogue and actively engaged his young audience through the one hour duration. Reminiscing his law school days at the Delhi University Law faculty, he impressed upon the Need of hard work and confidence building. He elucidated upon his journey through various internships and stints as a junior in law Chambers. The lesson that he imparted was that learning the work and tricks of your trade are more important than being content with less work and regular salary. He kept harping upon the fact that if a student ventures into law as a career, there are no limits of success one can achieve. In fact, once you make your name in this profession, your name shall earn for you forever after. His anecdotes and interesting examples were relatable and authentic. It was a unique session that saw a senior advocate giving tips and doling out inside secrets of court craft to young and aspiring students of Law.
