Symposium on “Explore and Protect Environment”
The symposium “Explore and Protect Environment” was organized by Department of Chemistry and Physics, FET, MRIIRS today. The aim of the event was twofold: first to promote environmental protection awareness among students and second, to evaluate their field work.
First Year undergraduate students have successfully completed the field work as a part of EVS curriculum as prescribed by UGC. They have visited different sites/industries to identify the environment related issues in real scenarios.
More than 100 students from FET, FAS, FCBS, FCA, FMeH participated in poster & model competition and won prizes in each category. Dr. M. K. Soni, PVC, MRIIRS chaired the session as the Guest of Honor and Dr. S. K. Chakravarti (Former Professor, NIT Kurukshetra) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
On the basis of project presentations, the first prize was given to team FCA and second prize was given to team FMeH. First prize in poster presentation was given to Swarna and Jerusha (B.Tech. CSE-CSF) and second prize was shared by participants Vani and Kashish from B.Tech. Aeronautical Engineering.
