Students of Manav Rachna organised a Health Camp at Primary Government School, Sector 19, Faridabad
A health camp was organized by The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) on December 15, 2017 in Primary Government School, Sector 19, Faridabad in association with Rotary Club of Faridabad, Sanskar. The health camp was a part of the initiative undertaken by the Rotaract Club of Faridabad Sanskar, and was conducted by Nutrition professionals to create more awareness about the need for a healthy lifestyle and hygiene. The students along with the faculty Dr. Barkha Bhatnagar provided free Nutrition Counseling at the camp to young children aged 5-10 years for Anemia and balanced diet.
Children and their mothers were given counseling on the role of proper nutrition and how a good diet can help in the treatment of various problems specially Anemia. Students from the institute recited poems to keep the children engaged. Such opportunities and platforms help students to enhance their skills and use their knowledge for the betterment and the upliftment of our society.
