Students of B Tech and BBA MRU @ B-plan Competition ‘Lakshya 2017’
Students of B.Tech. and B.B.A. Manav Rachna University participated in the National Level Business Plan Competition Lakshya 2017 at Amity University, Sector-125 Noida, from 14th Feb 2017 – 16th Feb 2017. Three teams were shortlisted for the main event at Amity campus.
The participating teams were Technology For Tomorrow (TFT), led by Mr. Nilanjan Bhadury (B. Tech. – CSE) with team members Mr. Shubham Goel, Mr. Shitiz Sharma (B.Tech – CSE), Mr. Aman Nishchal (BBA EFB) , Shram Vikas, led by Mr. Siddharth Upamanyu with team members Mr. Akhil Jain, Ms. Muskan Bansal (B.Tech – CSE) and Gifting Mania, led by Mr. Rajat Rastogi (BBA EFB) and Mr. Gaurav Kalra (BBA EFB).
Day 1 was scheduled for Sectorial Presentations of Business Plans. It was done in a closed room, with each team having five minutes to pitch their ideas in front of jury members. The inaugural ceremony was scheduled in the second half. Dr. Neelam Saxena, Director- ACED welcomed the esteemed members and teams and addressed the audience. Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor-AUUP, Mr. S.P. Singh, Regional Head and General Manager (SIDBI), Ms. Stuti Narain Kacker, Chairperson, Child Rights Commission, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor (AUUP), Dr. RK Panigrahi, Director-MSME and Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Joshi enlightened the audience with their words of wisdom.
Day 2 was scheduled for a workshop session on Finance, role of innovation and business modeling. The participants were informed about the key elements of a good business plan. Faculty members helped the participants to understand the insights of business.
Day 3 was scheduled for final presentations of the shortlisted business plans. Both the teams from MRU were able to qualify the first round and reached the final stage of this competition. The participants were encouraged by the jury members.
It was overall an informative and splendid learning session to ignite young minds.
