Dr. Pushpa C. Tomar and Dr. Shilpa S Chapadgaonkar along with the students- Charu Rajpal, Akansha and Manisha attended an International Seminar on ‘Sustainable Technologies for Environmental Management (STEM-2018)’ recently at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Delhi Technological University (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Delhi.

Lectures on various topics were conducted during the lecture which included Electric current amended Phytoremediation, Sustainable remediation of mining sites, Enzymatic valorisation of pulp industry waste, Phycotechnology for Environmental remediation, constructed wetlands etc. Some of the esteemed speakers of the lecture were Prof. Claudio Camselle and Dr. Susana Gouveia, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Vigo, Spain; Prof. Oznur Karaca, Deptt. of Geological Engineering, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey; Prof. V Subramanian, SES, JNU, Delhi; Prof. Anubha Kaushik, USEM, GGSIPU, Dwarka, Delhi; Prof. Mukesh Khare, Deptt. of Civil Engg, IIT-Delhi; Prof. C P Kaushik, Amity University, Manesar, Gurugram; Prof. Suresh Jain, TERI School of Advanced Studies, Delhi; and Dr. Asheesh Yadav, IMMT, Bhubaneshwar.
