Student Intern Program ‘Learn & Earn’ by Reliance Jio
Manav Rachna has recently signed an MoU with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited for digitizing the campus and to offer short term programs for its Institutions to create a steady stream of students who would be industry-ready. To further their plan of making the students employable and industry-ready, Reliance Jio has introduced a Student Intern Program called ‘Learn and Earn’ in the Manav Rachna campus.
Present on this occasion were Mr Bala Iyer, Vice President, Reliance Jio, Mr Manu Chanana, DGM-Head Training, Reliance Jio; Mr. Shrikant, Sr. Vice President, Reliance Jio; Dr N.C. Wadhwa, VC, MRIU; Dr V.K. Mahna, Pro-VC, MRU; Dr Naresh Grover, Dean-Academics, MRIU among other senior functionaries from the Manav Rachna family.
In his welcome address, Dr. N.C Wadhwa expressed gratitude to Reliance Jio for coming up to the campus to sensitize the faculty and students about digitization in the country. He apprised the audience of the fact that the tie-up between Reliance Jio and Manav Rachna is a win-win situation for both and it is upto the students to grab this opportunity and get benefitted out of it.
Mr. Shrikant from Reliance Jio explained their role in providing on the job training to the students undergoing technical education to bridge the gap between knowledge and industrial experience and skills. He shared few real life examples apprising the audience of the fact that Reliance Jio with the help of the upcoming technology will bring a change in people’s lifestyle. He also explained the Learn and Earn- Student Intern program wherein the students can learn and earn while they are studying thereby making them industry-ready and providing them a competitive edge over others once they complete their education. Mr. Balasubramaniam Iyer then took over the session and revealed interesting facts about the tie-up between Manav Rachna and Reliance Jio. To the student’s revelation, he mentioned that within a year they would be able to see a better transformed campus, the students might not be required to carry back packs and wallets to the campus as everything will be digitized.
Manav Rachna and Reliance Jio have joined hands together to provide numerous opportunities to its students thus making a difference in their lives.
