Student Innovator of the Year award
One of the final year project by the name Solar Driven Car made by our students Garvit Dudeja, Chirag Malhotra & Rais Raja under the guidance of Mr Harpinder Singh has been awarded with (1st Runner-up) in the “Student Innovator of the Year” award category at the Indian Automotive Technology and Innovation Awards (IATIA) for the year 2016. An Award of Euro 450 were given in the form of Journals and Books during the Award Ceremony to the students.
The award is been given for application on “Enhancement of Electric Vehicles with Safety Devices”. The designed and developed vehicle comprises of the innovation: Ultra-capacitor, Three-dimensional solar panel charging, G.P.S navigation system, overloading sensing system, security system, Pre-collision indication, Chassis with impact indicating sensors, vehicle to vehicle communication using bluetooth and automatic roof water collector. Apart from innovation as an tool, the team has also achieved the stable efficiency through- charging the battery from the solar panels, fabricating vehicle chassis with high strength-light weight density material, interfacing the controller with aurduino to have a less intake of current during initial power delivery to motor where in ultra capacitor are used to eliminate voltage fluctuations of batteries. The award was given on the night of December 16th, 2016 at The Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
