Stalwarts of Academia address over 600 educationists on National Educational Policy 2020 and School Education
• With more than 15 lakh schools in India, the New Education Policy 2020 introduces the brighter avenues for school education.
• More than 600 experts from academia gathered today to deliberate upon strengthening the very foundation of education system of our nation
November 20, 2020: National Education Policy – 2020 deals with many aspects of school education. The objectives of NEP 2020 include universal access to education and retention of all children in school until the secondary level, incorporation of pre-primary schools within the formal ambit of ‘school education’, a multi-lingual approach to teaching and the removal of rigid demarcation between subjects and streams.
To explore the same, a panel of elite educationists and academicians gathered today for the webinar on National Education Policy 2020 – The Brighter Future of School Education by ASSOCHAM.

Mr. Tripathi, highlighted that, “Education now a days is expanding to skill generation too, because that is what leads to the competency. In this COVID era, the skill development is not just limited to students but it is there for teachers too, and for their principals as well.
We have the challenge now to move from rote learning to experiential Learning, from knowledge based to skill based and the education has to be based on competency and skill development. We have to change pedagogy and we have to make the child curious.
The dynamics has to be shifted on, skill education, teaching pedagogy, teacher training, and to analyze learning outcome through assessment. The teacher, principal and the school will have to work on changing the pedagogy. In today’s time the most important is how to upgrade students.”
Dr. Prashant Bhalla during his address stated, “We must be aware about the fact that role of each and every stakeholder has evolved and we need to ensure the implementation in the genuine form as the major challenges are competence-based teaching, teacher upgradation, modern pedagogy and the assessment. The emphasis on teachers are most crucial as the 21st century skill integration, is must for those who are the front runners, our teachers. Also, the vocational education and evolvement of teaching methodology are the game changers now.
Peer learning, sports and life skills are those missing links that can really lead India to the international forums and the successful implementation of NEP 2020 is definitely going to ensure that India evolve as the global education leader.”
