Ministry of Human Resource Development is observing Swachhta Pakhwada 2019 on September 1 and September 15, 2019.

Prime Minister of India has launched a mission mode water conservation campaign ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ and has also stressed to make India free from ‘single-use plastic’.

A rally promoting cleanliness and ban of single-use plastic was organized by DSW (Department of Student’s Welfare), Manav Rachna University.

The rally was held on September 9, 2019 in the campus premises under the supervision of Wild Cats and Forest Rhinos clans. The rally was joined by more than 30 students from all over the university who enthusiastically raised awareness on the ban of single-use plastic and also notified other students about the drastic consequences that these single-use plastics have over the environment and our health.

The rally was conducted in the presence of Dr. Shruti Vashist, Dean Student Welfare, MRU; Dr. Ruchi Gupta, Clan Chief- Wild Cats, Dr.Prem Kishor Patnala, Vice Chief- Wild Cats;     Ms. Niharika Clan Chief Forest Rhino and Vice Chief Dr.Ram Chatterjee.

The rally was a major initiative by the university to promote the nation-wide campaign by the Indian Govt.
