Sahaj Yoga Meditation Session at Manav Rachna
“We believe that Meditation is peace and Yoga is life.”
With this thought, Department of Students Welfare, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) organized a Meditative session on 31.03.2018 for faculty and staff members. Dr. I. K. Kilam, Dean Students Welfare, MRIIRS; Ms. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla, Associate Dean Students Welfare; Dr. Shruti Vashisht, Clan Chief – Wild Cats; Dr. Sonia Duggal, Vice Chief – Air Falcons and other faculty members of FET, FAS, FCBS, MRU and many more participated in the session.
Ms. Gurjeet Kaur Chawla, welcomed our esteemed speaker Dr. Anish Kohli, Director India & SAARC, Global MNC. He is an avid social volunteer and has been an integral part of Corporate / Educational workshop team of Sahaja Yoga Meditation for over a decade, conducting Stress Management through Sahaja Yoga Meditation workshops as a social cause in corporate organizations and educational institutions across the country with the aim of benefit to our society.
His selfless contribution in this domain has earned him invitations twice at the prestigious TEDx forums (Feb’13 and Jan’16) conducted by reputed institutes in India where he spoke about ‘Ideas of Growth’ through knowledge of the roots and the importance of inner Balance in the modern world.
He talked about the importance of taking good care of our Subtle System. He informed about the energy and power of the divine presence and how it can be achieved and utilized to the fullest for the betterment of oneself. He discussed about the three parts of our nervous system including the Parasympathetic Nervous System (central nervous system), Left Sympathetic Nervous System (left side) and the Right Sympathetic Nervous System (right side).
Then everyone joined him in the meditative session which involved a few self-relieving activities and thanking the divine being for all the grateful blessing he blessed upon us. At the end, everyone realized that one can feel happy and joyful at every moment of their life and should be thankful for what they have.
At the end of the session, the audience interacted with Dr. Anish and discussed about the various questions they had. Sahaja Yoga Pamphlets were given to all the participants to know more about self meditation techniques.
