Manav Rachna Family Celebrated 69th Republic Day with Great Zeal
Republic Day of India is celebrated every year to honour the date on which the constitution of India came into effect, i.e. 26th January 1950. With the patriotic zeal and fervor, Republic Day function was organised at Manav Rachna Campus on 25th and 26th January 2018. Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), was the chief guest for the day. Also present on the occasion were Dr. I. K. Kilam, Dean, Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW), MRIIRS; Dr. M.K. Soni, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS; Dr. V. K. Mahna, ED Quality Assurance and Enhancement; Colonel V. K. Gaur; Dr. Krishna Kant, ED and Dean, FET, MRIIRS; Air Commodore Mr. Devender Sharma, and Deans and Directors, HoDs, and faculties of MREI.
The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President MREI followed by National Anthem. On this auspicious occasion, Dr. Prashant Bhalla multiplied everyone’s enthusiasm through his words. He said, “Manav Rachna is the result of amalgamation of the foundation of values and traditions set by the Visionary and Founder Dr. O P Bhalla and the efforts we are putting in as educationists”. He added, “Role of educationists and youth of India is critical to the growth of the country in terms of academics, sports, research and innovation”.
Colonel V. K. Gaur shared his experiences and encouraged everyone to hold their values for the bright future of the country. Dr. I. K. Kilam and Dr. Krishna Kant wished everyone a very Happy and prosperous Republic Day.
The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland by singing melodious patriotic songs. Stupendous dance performances by Mridaksh- the Western Dance Society of Manav Rachna . Self-composed patriotic poem by the students of Manav Rachna- Ashish and Amit gave a new way to the celebrations.
