Republic Day Celebration : 25th Jan 2016
Department of Students Welfare, Manav Rachna International University organized a series of events in the campus on 22nd January 2016 as part of 67th Republic Day Celebration. The celebration carried on for two days and successfully created a never ending impact and vibe of patriotism in the hearts of the students. As part of the Republic Day celebration, 4 competitions were organized on 22nd January 2016 Extempore, T-Shirt Painting, Hindi Spell Bee & Photography.
The Republic Day celebration concluded with a grand celebration in our Amphitheatre on 25th January 2016 which brought the 2 day long celebration to the best possible closing note. Prof. I. K. Kilam(Dean Students Welfare), Mr. Satish Arora (CVO), Dr. Gurjeet Kaur (HOD N&D) and many of the faculty members graced the occasion by their presence. The amphitheatre was packed to full capacity with enthusiastic students being part of the patriotic festivity.The event started with self recited poem on patriotism by Diksha Sanwal student of 2ndSem EEE, FET followed by a musical band performance that pepped the audience with the feeling of motivation and patriotism. A MIME act was performed that depicted the story of 2 bothers where one gave his life for the nation and the other one was into terrorism. A series of 7 states (Maharashtra, UP, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal & Punjab) dance boosted up the spirit of audience. A Fashion Show performance drenched in the traditions of Indian states boosted up the spirit of the audience. Another dance performance at the end created a much needed impact on everyone’s heart and made them understand the true meaning of being independent. The event also involved a poetry on patriotism by an alumni of MRIU Vinay Tolambia student of B.Tech Mech FET-MRIU (2011-15) first on Patriotism.
At the end dignitaries distributed prizes to all winners of the events with their blessings. The event ended with a highly enthusiastic and mind blowing performance. All the performances made the crowd cheer and pour their heart out. The event ended with love and respect for the nation and left everyone proud to be a citizen of a brilliant country called INDIA.
