To celebrate “National Science Day” on February 28, 2022, The Department of Mathematics, Manav Rachna University organized the first session of “CAREER COUNSELING SERIES” by its alumni (M.Sc. Mathematics 2019-2021 batch), Ms. Ridhi Bhatnagar. She got placed with Nagarro Software Pvt. Ltd. through virtual campus placement in 2021 at a package of 3.5 LPA. The session was conducted in online mode on Microsoft Teams (Link: https://tinyurl.com/2nc36xxx) from 2 PM onwards. The session began with the welcoming of the speaker and audiences. A brief introduction about Ms Ridhi was given by a student of B.Sc. mathematics, Ms. Divija Sekhri. Ms Ridhi shared her experiences of the journey from Manav Rachna to Nagarro Software Pvt.Ltd. She shared how research guidance and encouragement for placements at the university lead her to achieve this position at Nagarro. She also shared that the guidance from her research mentors helped her to grow as a researcher and made her capable of presenting papers in various workshops and conferences during her masters tenure. Many questions were asked by the students which Ms Ridhi answered very skillfully. She motivated students to be self managed and to manage time effectively so as to participate in extracurricular activities while keeping their grades on the higher side. She inspired students to stay focused on their goals and to never stop learning. About 40 participants, including students and faculty members attended the session. Overall, the session was very informative and the students were very happy to listen to her.
