Report on a session on “Virtual Labs”
In continuation with the series of Virtual Labs Workshops, MRU organized a “Virtual Labs” workshop in association with IIT Delhi for faculty members and students from respective disciplines (CSE, BSC, ECE, and ME). The resource persons for this training program were Mr. Chirag Dey, Mr. Chandan Kumar, and Mr. Arpit Sharma. A total of 234 students and 07 faculty members attended the workshop.
The workshop’s objective was to encourage students to use virtual labs to enhance their practical skills. The session commenced in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Kaur, Head, CST; Ms. Chandni Maggoo, Associate Head, CST; Dr. Mamta Arora, Nodal Coordinator, Student Coordinators, Participants, and faculty members.
The training session started with a small introduction to Virtual labs followed by some experimental demonstrations for each discipline, including Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, and Computer Science. The students were also explained how to create experiments independently and upload them to virtual labs. Finally, the workshop training session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mamta Arora, Nodal Coordinator, MRU.
