More than 700 academicians, researchers, and students participated in an expert talk by Dr. Samir K Brahmachari on COVID Pandemic – Science, Innovation and Society. Dr. Brahmachari, shared his invaluable insights and highlighted that how COVID comes with four unidentified amino acids that couldn’t be found in any of the animals which makes the challenge to fight even more complex. Humanity has suffered a lot in these two years and the fight is still ongoing. He said, “We can save this world and humanity not just by science but also by value-based education, that can ensure the compassion and empathy this world needs right now.”
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions; Dr. N C Wadhwa, DG, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI and Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies and several other academicians, faculty and heads of the university.
Dr. Prashant Bhalla, shared “this year we have faced many challenges that were not there in 2020, many lives were lost and many families were affected but despite all, today we are here and we did withstand the second wave that threatened the existence of our state and our nation. We need to be at a place now, where we all should work towards maintaining the same level of normalcy we showcased after the pandemic 2020.”
The wise words of these stalwarts did inspire each and every one on the forum that there is always a light at the end of tunnel and to reach towards that light, humanity must keep on moving forward with a value-based education system to develop ethics and love in this world.
