Progressive Web Applications
With the growth of mobile devices, millions of people from around the world use the internet on a mobile device. Google is supporting Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) to help developers provide native-app qualities in web applications and make them reliable, fast and engaging. Keeping this in view, a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Progressive Web Applications in collaboration with Google has been organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET), MRIIRS from 2nd January to 7th January 2018.
Dr. Suresh Kumar, HoD, CSE, FET, MRIIRS addressed the participants and motivated them to learn as well as gain hands-on experience so that they can further impart the knowledge to their students as well.
The Program has participants from reputed institutions including Amity Institute of Information Technology, Delhi College of Technology & Management, Gurgaon Institute of Technology & Management, New Gold Field College of Engineering & Technology, Pt. LR College of Technology, MKM Group of Colleges, and Pt. JLN Govt. College. The resource persons for the workshop are Varun from AcadView and Harshit Gupta (on behalf of Google).
The major topics that will be covered in the workshop include Javascript, Learning Android, UX Features, Cross-browser, and Canonical URL with demonstration and hands-on experiment on each domain.
The first day of the workshop began with great enthusiasm that set the path right for the six-day program keeping our expectations high for its grand success.
