Press Release: 7th Manav Rachna Annual Girls Sports Meet
The 7th MREI Open Girls Sports Meet was inaugurated today by Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.
More than 500 girl students competed across games including Relay Race, 100 meter race, Tug of War, Lemon Race, Musical Chair, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Cricket.
On this occasion, Smt. Satya Bhalla said that she is very happy to see that this time more girl students have participated. She hoped that the number of girls in the coming years will also increase. She also quoted that not everyone can be victorious, but every time you participate in sports you can move forward.
Earlier, this competition was only held for hostel students, but this year the day-scholars also became part of it.
Rashmi, who won Badminton, Relay Race, 100 meter race and chain tag race, won the Gold Medal as well as Best Sports Girl Award. Tug of war and cricket matches, were won by day-scholars, while basketball and volley ball were won by hostlers. At the same time, student Saubhagya won a medal in Musical Chair.
Students also portrayed the life challenges and victories of ‘Geeta Phogat’ and ‘Babita Phogat’ in their play. The classical dance performance of the students left everyone spell bound.
