Poster Exhibition
Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities, Department of English, organised a Poster Exhibition on “Women-Empowerment” and “William Shakespeare “on November 1, 2018.
The aim of the exhibition was to create awareness about the importance of women empowerment among students and inculcate genuine interest in the works of William Shakespeare.
Alpika Edward and Akanksha Adlakha from B.A 3rd Sem. explained the work exhibited by the students.
The students of M.A. English portrayed the famous works by means of the posters and recreated Shakespeare’s genius. The exhibition was designed to develop critical and aesthetic acumen in the students to relate the work of the master playwright to the modern socio-cultural scenario.
This was followed by enactment of a street play on theme ‘Save Water’. The students enthusiastically performed their roles and sensitized the audience about the different ways to save and conserve water.
Dr. Neemo Dhar, Dean Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities appreciated the collective efforts and gave her valuable feedback.
