Panel Discussion on ‘How To Create A Successful Career’
Department of Management and Commerce, Manav Rachna University organizes Panel Discussion by Global Economic Awareness Project members on ‘HOW TO CREATE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER’
A panel discussion was organized for the 1st and 2nd year students of BBA Finance and Accounts, BBA Entrepreneurship and Family Business and BBA Healthcare in the campus recently. The topic of the panel discussion was ‘HOW TO CREATE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER.’
The Global Economic Awareness Project is a US-based non-profit with the vision to foster economic literacy worldwide. It consists of high-achieving young professionals and university students to lead free workshops for students in underserved communities.
The members of the panel were Chen Kurtis, Deal Manager with expertise in Financial Due diligence, Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions, LA, Epstein Mandy, Management consulting with expertise in Operational due diligence and Mergers and Acquisitions, Wu Eunis, M & A consultant with expertise in Operational due diligence and Mergers and Acquisitions, Barbeau Christopher, Management consulting with expertise in Financial Due diligence, Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions and Mele Federico, Deal Strategy consultant with expertise in corporate strategy, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Retail and Consumers segments.
The session was moderated by Mele Federico and key takeaways were that students should start early by exploring networking opportunities with alumni, industry leaders and experts. They should build inter personal skills of team work, leadership, and communication. They need to decide early on their professional goals and work towards them. In response to a question on how to become an investment banker, the panel suggested that students should start building their technical skills in Accounting, Excel and initiate preparation for the Chartered Financial Analyst exam at the earliest.
