Orientation Program: Engg & Non-Engg. (Second-week)
Manav Rachna University takes a holistic approach for the overall development of students and three-week Orientation Program is a perfect platform for the freshers to indulge in the conducive culture at Manav Rachna campus. Students are all pumped to express their talent and are taking part in activities with great enthusiasm.
It was the eighth day of Engineering Orientation Program and a day full of Literary Activities (Group Discussion, Story Writing and Narration and Ad Mad), Art of Living, Community Lunch and Performing Dance Clan Activity. Dr. Meenakshi S. Khurana, Pro-VC, MRU and Dr. Sangeeta Banga, Dean Student Welfare, MRU graced the event and felicitated the winners with gift hampers. Overall, the event was a huge success with immense participation of the students.
Art of Living Session was conducted by Mr. Rohit Ranjan (Program Coordiantor, Youth Affairs, Delhi-NCR and Jammu & Kashmir). This was followed by Yoga Session where students were taught about the benefits of meditation and discuss various yoga postures which help in keep them fit in day to day life.
On the other hand, Non-engineering students were enjoying the learning modules of English and accountancy. To carve vivid readers among our future teachers, a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) session was conducted by Dr. Babita Parashar, HoD, Faculty of Education, MRU. Students were highly motivated to read after the Kindle demonstration.
‘Performing Art is a specialized form of fine art’. Freshers of MRU underwent auditions for performing arts (dance) which were adjudged by Ms. Charu Shanker, Actor, Experienced Dancer in Jazz and Contemporary Form and wellness expert; Ms. Nidhi Bharswaj, Cultural Fashion Mentor and Fashion Designer; Cultural Dance Mentors from Sway Dance Academy; and Ms. Maria Khan, Director and Creative Director with DEARC PERFORMING ARTS.
