Orientation Ceremony of the 15thBDS batch at Manav Rachna Dental College
Manav Rachna Dental College (MRDC), Faculty of Dental Sciences, MRIIRS organized an Orientation for the 15th batchto welcome students from Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The freshers’ batch will commence their journey with a 3-day orientation program and a white-coat ceremony. Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, VC, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was Chief Guest for the day. Dr. AmitBhalla, VP, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD-MREI and VC-MRIIRS; Sh. R.K. Arora, Registrar, MRIIRS; Dr. ArundeepSungh, Principal, MRDC; Dr. AshimAggarwal, Vice Principal, MRDC; senior members of MRDC, students and their parents were also present during the occasion.
During the ceremony, Dr. Arundeep Singh shared that the BDS curriculum at MRDC follows the directives and guidelines of the Dental Council of India. Subjects on Finance and Behavioral Science along with a bouquet of new courses have been included in the BDS curriculum.
Dr. AmitBhalla, VP-MREI shared, “Manav Rachna will soon launch a Centre of Excellence for product innovation in Faculty of Dental Sciences and Faculty of Health Sciences for development of dental products in the country.”
Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma said, “You need to collaborate, think beyond, learn from each other and expand; and a university is a multiplier factor where you can collaborate with students from different genres.” He asked students to introspect, stay motivated and keep their passion activated as they get the power to heal after completing their five-year journey.
This was followed by the ceremonial White Coat ceremony wherein white coats were given to the meritorious students who have joined BDS at Manav Rachna Dental College.
