One Week Online Short-Term Training Programme on Machine Learning
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies is organizing AICTE sponsored One Week Online Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) on Machine Learning, from December 14-19, 2020.
A total of about 80 delegates virtually attended the training program across the world. The program witnessed numerous experts across India from renowned organizations like Indian Institute of Technology (BHU); Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur; Jawaharlal Nehru University; Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata; National Institute of Technology, Warangal; Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani; King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia; CHECK 24, Comparison Portal, Germany; Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur; SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai; RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru; Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University.
The 15 sessions were highly informative and contributed insights on various advanced and innovative research ideas of Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Big Data Analytics.
The attendees were given exposure to the concepts like the life cycle of Data Science, Data Analysis, Data Crunching, Machine Learning, Regression, Classification, Clustering, Predictive Analysis, Feature Engineering, Dimensionality Reduction, Principle Component Analysis, HPCC System, Natural Language Processing, Recommender System, Deep Learning, Artificial Neural Network, Convolution Neural Network, Recurrent Neural Network, Long Short Term Memory, Pattern Recognition, Image processing, Computer Vision, Sentiment Analysis, Reinforcement Learning, Object Detection, Face Recognition, Anomaly Detection, Word Embeddings, Information Retrieval. Participants are provided with practical aspects of Data Analysis, Feature Engineering, Dimensionality Reduction, Principal Component Analysis, Classification, Regression, Clustering, Computer Vision, ANN, CNN, LSTM, and Anomaly Detection.
One Week Online STTP program commenced on 14th November 2020 in the presence of Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) Supriya P. Panda, Event Coordinators, Dr. Madhumita Kathuria, Prof. (Dr.) Indu Kashyap, Ms. Rachna Behl, Members-Organizing Committee Dr. Suman Bhatia, Ms. Manisha Vashisht, Ms. Shubhangi Srivastava, Ms. Shefali Singhal, and Ms. Shobha Tyagi.
The inaugural session commenced at 10:00 am on 14th December 2020 in the presence of dignitaries such as Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Nijhawan, FET, MRIIRS, Associate Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Kumar, Associate Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Supriya P. Panda, Head, CSE, Prof. (Dr.) Tapas Kumar, Head CSE-IBM Specializations.
The valedictory session commenced on 19th December 2020, at 12:30 pm in the presence of dignitaries such as Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Nijhawan, Associate Dean, FET, MRIIRS, Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Kumar, Associate Dean Academics, FET, MRIIRS, Prof (Dr.) Supriya P. Panda, Head, Dept. of CSE, FET, MRIIRS.
Prof (Dr.) Supriya P. Panda shared the impact of such an STTP Programme in Academics, Research and Industry. She emphasized that quality among all these fields can be built only through such kind of faculty development programs. The significance of industry-institute interaction was highlighted so that the faculties and students will be exposed to recent developments and innovations in Industry 4.0. She presented a Vote of Thanks to all the Dignitaries, Esteemed Speakers & Participants of the STTP program.
All the sessions were highly informative and enlightening. Both delegates and participants appreciated the efforts of the CSE, FET, MRIIRS groups for conducting such an impactful well-organized Short-Term Training Programme.
