The Department of English, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities, conducted a spectacular On-the-spot Slogan Writing Competition. This competition aimed at honing students’ creative impetus. 

The topics which were given to the students were ‘Global warming’ and ‘Women empowerment’. The participants were given a choice to choose either of the topics. Ms. Simarjeet Kaur and Ms. Leeharika Jindal, students of  B.A.(Honours) English were the student coordinators of the clan activity. Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of English, was the faculty coordinator and she motivated the students to participate and explore their skills. 

The participants were judged by Dr. Jayashree Hazarika, Assistant Professor at the Department of English, MRIIRS. Each and every student did a commendable job and raised the level of competition. Two prizes were declared by the judge based on the effectiveness of the slogan, and the presentation of the theme. The first prize was awarded to Parnika and Meetali, whereas the second prize was awarded to Iqra.
