Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) students at MRIIRS got a whole new feel of the Manav Rachna way of life as they were welcomed with open arms to a Freshers party NOVA KOMENCO 2K19. NOVA KOMENCO which means ‘The New Beginning’ showcased Freshers’ talent in the field of dance, singing and musical band. More than 600 students of first and second year participated in the event and showcased their talent.

Welcoming the Freshers, Dr. M. K. Soni, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, said, that the Freshers Party marks a new chapter and beginning in the lives of the newcomers and is a great way to create everlasting relationships with each other.

Dean Faculty of Engineering Dr. Harish C. Rai said that today is the day of Freshers, and I wish they will make their future bright after passing out.

The event was hosted by Pushkar Aneja and Aditya of II year FET. To welcome the Freshers and make them feel a part of the Manav Rachna family, senior students gave a scintillating Fashion Show performance.

In the course of the journey for the selection of Ms. & Mr. Fresher, 2019, various competitions like Ramp walk, a talent show, and question-answer rounds were held. The journey of freshers was judged by eminent Judges Dr. Naresh Sharma, Dr. Abhiruchi Passi (Hod ECE) and Ms. Neha Wadhwan (Assistant Professor, FCA).

Ms. Rajnika (CSE, CSF) from wild Cats and Mr. Lakshya Gaur (CSE)from Air falcon were declared the winners of Ms. And Mr. Fresher 2K19. Ajay (EEE) from Water Sharks and Khushi (CSE, CSF) wild cats were declared as the best dressed male and female respectively; Bejoy (CSE, CSF) and Ishika (ECE) both from Wild Cats bagged the Best Personality male and female of the day title.
