Non-Engineering Orientation Programme: Motivational and Artistic
Manav Rachna University has always been adopting the holistic approach to impart knowledge to the students in different and innovative ways. Such was the day when sessions on different themes were conducted for the freshers. Department modules were conducted on the Day 4 of Orientation Programme of Non-Engineering students. Ms. Sadhana Rao, Head HR and Learning & Development, Paras Buildtech India Pvt Ltd. acquainted the students with the transition from campus to corporate life. She talked about the knowledge, skills and Attitude (KSAs) to be possessed by the students to compete in the corporate world. A session on Abacus basics and brain gym exercises was conducted by SIP ABACUS Academy wherein students were provided with Abacus units and hand-on sessions were conducted.
The fifth day started with a session on accountancy by Dr. Pooja Kapoor, Department of Management and Commerce. English modules were taught to the students. Faculty of Education organized Wall Magazines and Clay Craft workshop. Art Faculty from Manav Rachna International School, Sec-46, Gurugram was the resource person for these workshops. Students were introduced to the fine art of calligraphy, presentation, and color schemes. Students worked in teams and displayed their creativity on the paper.
Students were also involved in outdoor sports including Cricket, Tug of War, Basketball, and Volleyball in which students participated with great enthusiasm.
A session on motivation and team building was conducted by CA Tejinder Bhardwaj, President, Income Tax Bar Association, Faridabad. He emphasized on being focused, practicing self-observation, to be honest in life and to listen to one’s inner voice. Session on ‘Creative Writing’ gave an opportunity to pen down their thoughts and observations.
The day was replete with art and craft, and skill-based activities.
