As part of Navodaya Phase IV, Department of Students Welfare conducted a session named ‘Talent Fiesta’ for the supporting staff members of Manav Rachna.

Present on the occasion were Brig. S.N. Setia, Executive Director MRASC , Ms. Gauri Bhasin, Head – CDC, Dr. I.K. Kilam, Dean Students’ Welfare, Ms. Shailja Naqvi, Dy. Director – RMR along with the organizing team from CDC and Department of Students’ Welfare  along with the enthusiastic and talented staff members of Manav Rachna.

In the  session,  nearly 80 members from supporting staff  took part. Dr. Kilam, Dean Students’ Welfare introduced the  members present with the Department of Students’ Welfare and objectives of this department. A slideshow presentation was also given comprising various pictures of Talent Show and Navodaya sessions that had been conducted earlier with different faculty members, housekeepers and drivers where these participants enjoyed their time. Subsequently, Ms. Shailja Naqvi explained about the Radio Station and also took the audience Live with RJ Bhavna Sharma where their requested songs were played. Mr. Vikram Singh (IT, ICT), Mr. Ranjeet Kumar (ICT) danced their heartout to peppy numbers. Mr. Vijay Singh (N & D) sang a beautiful song. Ms. Geetu, from CAD volunteered to dance on the stage and shared her memories of Diwali Mela.

Ms. Anjana Thakur, from O.P. Bhalla Central Library gave a dance performance which was applauded by everyone. The energetic performances boosted the audience and left everyone tapping on their feat.

Later, after refreshments, a tug of war match was conducted between the members of the supporting staff in which the team from Mechanical Department won. With this session, members felt relaxed from their daily routine work and enjoyed a few hours as a part of Navodaya Phase IV.
